In April 2017, when Jake was a junior in high school, a tragedy hit the community. A classmate had lost their battle with mental illness, and something needed to be done. His name was Nick Spaid. Nick had dreams of being an entrepreneur and loved classic rock. Our smiley logo is named after Nick and we strive to carry on his legacy forever through the Happiness Project.

AFSP is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide. AFSP creates a culture that’s smart about mental health by engaging in the following core strategies:

  • Funding scientific research
  • Educating the public about mental health and suicide prevention
  • Advocating for public policies in mental health and suicide prevention
  • Supporting survivors of suicide loss and those affected by suicide in our mission

In honor of Suicide Prevention Day we hosted a charity livestream through our Instagram live. Fans joined us and spinned a wheel to either get prizes or money donated in their name. Every fan that joined, was $1 donated to

Total raised: $1,823

We partnered with Berry-Yo, a local frozen Yogurt shop for a “Swirl and Care” event. For every sale at the shop, 15% was donated towards mental health research. At the event fans could experience happiness through our sunflower wall, happiness flavor, post on our bulletin board and donate to enter our hoodie raffle.

We hosted a toy drive to help those in need overthe holiday season. For every purchase on our “Holiday Drop”, one toy was donated. We hosted a toy drive livestream through our instagram for toys to be donated in our fans names.

We are proud to say over 125 toys  were donated to our local toy drive.

The National Alliance On Mental Illness: the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization,
"dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness".

NAMI offers mental health education and outreach programs serving families, individuals and educators, nationally and through the local community.

The NAMI Helpline allows them to respond personally to thousands of requests for mental health information and resource referral, yearly.

NAMI sponsors public awareness events and activities, including Mental Health Month and NAMIWalks, to successfully fight stigma and encourage understanding.

NAMI is supportive of research that will lead to novel and effective treatments for people with mental illness. This support includes ongoing advocacy for research that will improve the lives of individuals and their families.
